As the Captain of a Genesis starship, you embark on an epic quest to save humanity from extinction in a ravaged near-future world. Your mission begins with a small vessel, but as you explore the vast, randomly generated universe, you'll discover new planets, resources, and alien lifeforms. But beware - your ship is not just a home, it's also a fragile ecosystem that can be overrun by terrifying alien infestations. To survive, you must build and manage your space vessel, farm resources, and fend off threats from within and without. As you progress, you'll unlock new corporations, technologies, and abilities to aid in your quest. But remember - death is permanent, and when all your clones are gone, the mission is over... unless you can carry some artifacts forward into your next playthrough. Starting with a blank slate, you'll shape your ship into an intergalactic ark through dozens of upgradable modules, from crew quarters to greenhouses. Then, explore your creation in first-person and battle alien hordes using an arsenal of weapons and defenses.
