Game Overview

In HyperParasite, you're an alien parasite from another world, sent to invade Earth in its most glorious - and grungiest - era: the 1980s. With a taste for human flesh, you'll need to snatched bodies to sustain yourself, absorbing their abilities and discarding their skin like a worn-out jacket. As you navigate the procedurally generated streets, you'll encounter over 60 different hosts, each with unique attacks and smackdowns. But don't get too comfortable - when your host dies, it's permadeath for you, unless you've found some sweet upgrades to keep you going. The goal is to fight your way to the top of the pop-cultural food chain, push the Big Red Button, and bring about a mushroom cloud of finality. It's not an easy feat, but with the right strategy and timing, you might just make it out alive.

Gameplay combines snatching hosts with their abilities, fighting off hordes of enemies, and using your absorbed powers to take down tougher foes. You'll need to manage your energy levels, as well as your host's health, to survive the 5 Acts of this synthwave-filled world. And when you're not busy killing, you can spend some of your hard-earned cash at Wito's shop, unlocking new abilities and upgrading your parasite powers.

What sets HyperParasite apart is its blend of dark humor, over-the-top action, and old-school charm. With procedurally generated levels, a wide variety of hosts to play with (and against), and a pulsating synthwave soundtrack, this game will have you hooked from start to finish.
