Stronghold: Warlords is set in East Asia, where you'll command Mongol hordes, imperial warriors, and samurai clansmen to lay siege to Japanese castles and fortified Chinese cities. As a warlord yourself, you'll recruit, upgrade, and command AI lords across the battlefield, each with unique perks, characteristics, and upgradeable abilities. With 31 campaign missions, 45 skirmish trail scenarios, and 28 multiplayer maps, Stronghold: Warlords offers an extensive world to conquer and master. Your goal is to relive historical campaigns from ancient China to the rise of the Tokugawa shogunate and the coming of the Mongol Empire, using a range of medieval entertainment, taxation, and torture to maintain control over your ever-growing empire. Gameplay combines building and besieging, with a focus on resource management, castle fortification, and clever use of gunpowder-fueled siege weapons like hwacha arrow launchers and siege towers. As you progress, you'll unlock more powerful castles, armies, and abilities to aid in your conquests.
